About Us
Hi! We are the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild
The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild (CVQG) was founded in 1998 with 70 charter members. Our current membership draws from Fayette, Colorado, Bastrop, Lee, and Lavaca counties. We also have members from the greater Austin area and a few in other states. We meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 E Pearl St, La Grange. We have both day and night meetings on the schedule listed:
Odd-numbered months – 10 a.m.
Even-numbered months – 6 p.m.

December meeting - December 10 at 11:00 am.

We have an annual quilt show, “The Best Little Quilt Show in Texas, which is held the last Friday and Saturday in February. Entries are welcomed by both members and non-members.

Community service is a large part of our guild. These are our current projects:

Lap-sized quilts to local nursing homes and child advocacy groups
Participating in the Quilts of Valor project
Donating a large quilt to St Mark’s Hospital for fundraising
Donating a large quilt to the local animal shelter for fundraising
Volunteering at the Texas Quilt Museum as docents
Assisting the Texas Quilt Museum with exhibit installations
Quilted Stories Project: provides schools with books and coordinating quilts
